An airstrip that is located in central Masai Mara national reserve, with facilities such as toilets, a small lounge area and an apron for small planes.

It is primarily used by hotels, tented camps and lodges in the area, though others can also use it for a small landing fee.

What to do thereBoard a pre booked flight out of the area, or just for an air safari, with area nearby being ideal for game drives and bird watching.

Best time to visitDuring september and october when the wildebeest migration is in or near the area.

Location of Mara north airstripMara north airstrip is amidst savannah plains near the eastern border of the mara triangle - the mara river. It also is inside masai mara national reserve.

How to get thereBy air or road, with the latter using a private or rental vehicle, though the hotels and tented lodges in the area do provide one for those arriving by air.

It is usually less than a days drive from Nairobi, with part of it requiring use of dirt roads.
