What to do there?Catch a flight into or out of the park, with a gate nearby for any payment or permit related business. Or board a plane for an air safari, though bookings may have to be done elsewhere.

Location of Tsavo gate airstripTsavo gate airstrip is a short distance off the Nairobi - Mombasa highway, on the north eastern end of Tsavo West national park. It is also near the Tsavo river, a short distance before where it joins the Athi river to form the Galana river.

How to get there?By air, train or road, with flights from most airports within the country.

There is the Mombasa - Nairobi SGR train passing nearby, though the nearest stations are in Voi and Mtito Andei.

There also are passenger buses plying the same route, though you may need a vehicle to get into the park, whether private or rental. For more information on park fees and tariffs, please see the KWS website.
