A large barren area in
Namib Naukluft national park that has an otherworldly landscape, with many comparing it to that of the moon.
It was originally a hilly area, that was shaped through years of erosion, as rainwater drained into the Swakop river nearby.
Today, it hosts little vegetation such as lichens and Welwitschia.
