One of several special campsites that are located inside lake Manyara national park. Accommodation is exclusive to the person or group that books it, and is provided on a bring your own tent kind of basis, with prior booking being required.

It has little to no facilities such as toilets, and all campers have to bring their own equipment and food, unlike public campsites which have facilities, require no booking and can be shared.

Location of Bagayo A campsiteBagayo A campsite is located on the western shores of lake Manyara, just a short distance south of Mto wa Mbu town and south east of the rift valley wall. There also is a river next to it, beyond which lies Bagayo B campsite.

How to get there?By air or road, with the lake Manyara airstrip being next to the park's north western boundary.

A private or rental vehicle could also be used, with no preference as to the vehicle type though 4x4's are recommended, especially for night game drives.
