One of several special campsites that are located near the north western border of lake Manyara national park. It is termed special because accommodation is exclusive to the person or group that books it, and campers have to bring their own tents, food and equipment.

There also is a need for booking prior to arrival and there are no facilities such as toilets provided, unlike public campsites.

Location of Bagayo B campsiteBagayo B campsite is located on the north western shores of lake Manyara, about a 20 minute drive south of the main entrance gate and the town of Mto wa Mbu. It also sits within view of the walls of the east African rift valley.

How to get there?By air or road, with the lake Manyara airstrip being within walking distance of the park's north western boundary; However, you still would need to arrange for vehicular transportation for the rest of the way.

Getting here by road would require a private or rental vehicle, with no preference as to the vehicle type, though 4x4's are recommended — especially if intending to do some night game drives.
