A private campsite that is located on the banks of the Mara river, with stunning views of both the river and the wildlife that's on the opposite side.

Like any other private campsite it has no facilities and requires booking before using it, which can be done online. Campers are also required to bring their own food and equipment.

What to do there?View wildlife from the comfort of your own chair, both during day and night — if you have the equipment. Some of the animals that maybe here include leopards, hippos, elephants and a wide variety of birds.

Best time to visit?During August and September when the migrating wildebeest and zebra herds, are in the Masai mara.

Location of Dirisha campsiteDirisha campsite is located on the northern end of Masai Mara national reserve, on slightly raised ground next to the meanders of the Mara river.

How to get there?By air or road, with several airstrips to choose from in the nearby area, though you may still need a vehicle to get from there to the campsite.

Or take a drive through the dirt roads of the park, from either Nairobi or the multitude of villages and hotels near the park boundaries.
