Best time to visitMid year, around June to July when the area is overrun with herds of wildebeest and Zebra and the plains have just started to dry out after the rainy season of March to June.

How to get there?By air or by vehicle, with the first having the added advantage of a brief air safari, before landing at one of the airstrips in Serengeti.

Alternatively, the more scenic land based route would give you an opportunity to tour much more of the Serengeti or Grumeti game reserve up close, with so many places to see that it could take as long as a week.

There is no discrimination as to the vehicle type, but 4x4s do perform better. For More information on park fees and tariffs, please see the TANAPA website.
