The third campsite encountered while on the Lumemo trail from the southern end of
Udzungwa mountains national park. All hikers have to bring their own camping equipment and supplies.

Best time to visit?Any time of the year not in the rainy season of March to June.
Location of Mikangazini campsiteMikangazini campsite is located in the southern part of Udzungwa mountains national park, a small clearing amidst its rain forest and next to the Lumemo trail. It also is near the Lumemo river requiring at least one river crossing to get there.

How to get there?Via a hike from either
Lumemo ranger post - passing the first and second (Simba), or from the eastern border of the park — Sonjo ranger post or park headquaters at Mangula going through two campsites.
Both Lumemo and Sonjo ranger post can be reached by air, train, passenger bus or private vehicle.
