Pimbi campsite

    Altitude: 1500 m.a.m.s.l.

One of many public campsites in the small town of Seronera of Serengeti national park. Public because it can be used by more than one person or group at the same time, different from private ones which can only be used exclusively and normally require prior booking.

Accommodation is in tents only, with facilities provided being a separate house for the kitchen and dining area, a water supply, and modern toilets with a cold water shower, and hand wash basins.

What to do there?Spend a night under the stars and closer to wildlife with some of the more common that you may hear or see being hyenas, and zebra. The herbivores may get closer during the day but the hyenas mostly coming at night, silently.

You could also visit the rest of the attractions in the nearby area.

Best time to visit?Any time of the year although the mood can get a bit sombre during the rainy days, with fewer people using the camp site. The dryer seasons in the area are usually from July to December with a small possibility of short rains in December.

Also being here during the wildebeest migration would be a added extra.
