One of the houses under the Stellenbosch village museum, furnished to show the lifestyle of an early 19th century wealthy family — a time when the area was under British rule.

It was built in 1782 by Christian Ludolph Neethling, as a two storey flat-roofed house with glass windows and wooden shutters.

Over the years, its ownership changed a few times, though much of the house remained unchanged with the exception of outer sections being added.
