An old military fort and prison in Grahamstown, South Africa — named after a provost marshall or military officer responsible for overseeing the military police as well as punishment of offenders.

It was built from 1835 to 1838 as a quarter-circular compound built from stone — a wall around it, a two storey round tower at the centroid end and rooms or cells where the arc is.

Today, it has been renovated and is part of the Albany museums building that includes the Observatory house museum, the History museum, Natural Sciences museum, Drodsty Arch, Old Priest's house, and Fort Selwyn.
