One of three air force museums in south africa, the others being at Ysterplaat and Swartkop.

It is housed in a section of the old 42nd air school — one of the largest in the joint SAAF & RAF training scheme of World War II.

Inside are a number of antique aircraft used by the air force in the past, some of which can still fly. A few are more recent — recreated onsite from scratch including a spitfire.

There also is a collection of aircraft memorabilia, paintings, engines, a simulator as well as continued restorations of other planes.
