Has a KWS office for payments tickets and other administrative persons.

Best time to visitThe dry seasons of the year, usually July to October.

Location of Ahmed gateAhmed gate is on the outskirts of Marsabit town, and the northern end of Marsabit national park.

It is also on the edge of the park's rain forest — a highland area near the mountains peak.

How to get thereBy vehicle, hiking or air, with the nearest airstrip being on the opposite end of Marsabit town.

The nearby town of Marsabit is about 560 km north of Nairobi — the country's capital.
