Location of Karare gateKarare gate sits in the shrub lands of Marsabit national park's south western end, next to the highway into Marsabit town and northern Kenya.

It is also a short drive from Bongole crater.

How to get thereBy vehicle, as the nearest airstrip is a bit further north in Marsabit town.

There are passenger buses from as far as Nairobi heading to Moyale, through Marsabit town.
