One of the entrance / exit points into maasai mara national reserve that is located on its north eastern border, with offices for the Mara conservancy and toilets.

What to do there?Get park permits or pay for them, though this could also be done online. Or get a ranger to accompany you which in some cases may require pre arrangement with the park.

Best time to visitThe end of the year, during September and October when the wildebeest and zebra herds have immigrated into the area.

Location of Musiara gateMusiara gate is located a short distance east of Oloololo gate, though on the opposite side of the mara river. It also sits on the north eastern end of Masai Mara national reserve.

How to get thereBy air or road, with Musiara airstrip being the closest, but there are others inside the park, all of which are reachable from Nairobi and Mombasa.

Or take the more adventure packed route and just drive there, a several hour journey from the town of Narok.
