One of the entrance gates into Tsavo west national park, that are located on its north eastern border. It has facilities such as KWS offices, toilets and an airstrip nearby.

Best time to visit?Any time of the year, though the rest of the park may be best visited during the dry seasons of July to February.

Location of Tsavo gateTsavo gate is just off the Nairobi — Mombasa highway, a few minutes driving south of Mtito Andei. It also is on the north eastern end of Tsavo West national park, with Tsavo east being just across the road.

How to get there?By air, train or road, with the first method using the Tsavo gate airstrip nearby or other airstrips in tsavo west national park.

There is both a train and passenger buses that ply the Mombasa — Nairobi route nearby, though the nearest stations for the train are in Voi and Mtito Andei.
