A part of it lies within Namibia's skeleton coast.

Location of Dorob national park It sits on the central coast of Namibia, bordered by the Altantic ocean to the west, Skeleton Coast national park to the north, and Namib Naukluft national park to the south.

It also is within the Namib desert, with the Ugab and Kuiseb rivers as its southern and northern borders respectively.
