A park ranger's outpost that is located at the heart of Tarangire national park, just a short distance south of Kuro airstrip and east of the Tarangire river.

What to do there?Get assistance, directions or information about the park; or a ranger to escort you for a walking safari or just for security e.g. at a special campsite. Normally you have to arrange for the latter at the entrance gate.

Best time to visit?Any time of the year not in the rainy season of March to June, as the dry season brings a larger concentration of animals around the river - in search of more water and pasture.

How to get there?By road or air, with the latter using the Kuro airstrip nearby, though you may need to have prearranged vehicular transport to get around the park.

Alternatively, you could use a private, rental or tours vehicle to get there from one of the main park gates or other locations inside Tarangire.
