One of the taller waterfalls of Udzungwa mountains national park
, located near its eastern border and a part of the Njokamoni river. It serves as one of the easily reached hiking destinations in the park, but less frequented when compared to others such as Sanje falls
.What to do there?
Hike to the falls, whether to enjoy the scenery or to just to be closer to nature, with a variety of animals to see along the way such as monkeys. Other possible activities include bird watching, picnics, camping or swimming in the plunge pools.

Any time of the year, though the rest of the park may be less accessible in the rainy season of March to June.Location of Njokamoni waterfall
Njokamoni waterfalls are located near the eastern border of Udzungwa mountains national park, with the hike to it and back taking less than half a day. It also is a short distance from park headquarters at Mangula and within the mountain's rainforest.

Via a short hike from the park gates, with methods of getting to the area being by air, train, bus or private vehicle.
The TAZARA railway passes a short distance from the park headquarters, with a weekly train that goes from Dar es Salaam to Kapiri Mposhi - Zambia, through scenic rural Tanzania as well as the northern edges of Selous game reserve.
There are a multitude of airstrips in the area, the closest one being at Kilombero. You still would need to arrange for transport to the park gates.
You could also use a private or rental vehicle to get there, or one of the passenger buses from Mikumi or Morogoro.
