Hippo pool of Ngorongoro crater, as seen from the banks 
A small pond in the southern part of the Ngorongoro crater that is inhabited by a bloat of hippos. It is one of the few areas in the crater where tourists are allowed to alight from their vehicle, have a picnic or meal.
What to do there?Have a picnic, take photos and enjoy the serene beauty of the place. Occasionally you may also see animals come to drink from he pool.
Location of Hippo pool of ngorongoro craterThe hippo pool of Ngorongoro crater is located on the north eastern end of Gorigor swamp, and on the south western end of the crater. There is a picnic site next to it.
