Hippo pool of ngorongoro crater

Ngorongoro conservation area, Tanzania

A small pond in the southern part of the Ngorongoro crater that is inhabited by a bloat of hippos. It is one of the few areas in the crater where tourists are allowed to alight from their vehicle, have a picnic or meal.

What to do there?Have a picnic, take photos and enjoy the serene beauty of the place. Occasionally you may also see animals come to drink from he pool.
