One of the soda lakes inside the great rift valley, around which lies lake Nakuru national park.

The lake is home to both lesser and greater flamingos, and about 450 species of water birds

Location of Lake Nakuru lake Nakuru sits a few minutes drive south of Nakuru's city centre, and inside lake Nakuru national park.

It is a few kilometres south of the equator.

How to get there?By hiking or vehicle from Nakuru city, or one of the airstrips nearby.

Nakuru city can be reached by air or passenger bus from most cities in the country.
