Africa's first peace park, formed from the merger of Gemsbok national park of Botswana and Kalahari Gembsok national park of South Africa.

It covers an area of about 38,000 square kilometres with part of it being home to the San bushmen.

The landscapeMostly grasslands and shrublands in the north and east, with a red sanded desert and dunes in the southwest.

Animals to seePredators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, both the brown and spotted hyenas, bat eared fox and wild dogs.

Others include gemsbok, springbok, oryx, giraffe, red hartebeest and birds such as owls, falcons, ostrich and vultures.
