What to do there?Catch a flight out of the park, or for an air safari – a chance to view the Tarangire river and all the animals that depend on it from above. Bookings may have to be done at different areas.

Best time to visit?Any time of the year not in the rainy season of March to June, as during this period, the animals migrate away from the Tarangire river – as other water sources and pastures become available.
Location of Kuro airstripKuro airstrip is located in central Tarangire, within walking distance of the river. It also is near Kuro ranger post, with accommodation options in the area including park owned campsites, along with hotels and lodges – both inside and outside the park.

How to get there?By air or by road, flying in from almost any airport in the country or airstrips of other
national parks in Tanzania.
Alternate means include using a private, rental or tours vehicle to get there from one of the main park gates, or other locations of the park.
