A ranger post on the eastern border of
Tarangire national park, an official entrance or exit point for those entering or leaving the park using the road to
Arusha that passes east of the park.
What to do there?Get your permits checked in or out, or pay for and acquire them. Game drives of it and nearby areas, get information about the park as well as a ranger to accompany you, with the latter possibly requiring an arrangement with park headquarters at the park's northern end.

Best time to visit?Any time of the year, though you may need a good 4x4 to visit during the rainy season of march to June; However, the rest of the park is best visited during the dry seasons as animals migrate to the Tarangire river for water, making game drives there more eventful.

How to get thereMostly by road as the only airstrips in use are a bit far from this location, requiring an extra drive before getting here. There are airstrips both inside and around the park, but these serve small regional planes - with the larger international airports being situated in Arusha and Kilimanjaro.
There is a route east of here that goes through Mbuguni and into the southern outskirts of Arusha, as well as another on the western end of the park that can also be used to get to
Serengeti,
lake Manyara and Ngorongoro.
Self drive safaris are possible using a rental or private vehicle, with daily park tariffs for this including conservation fees, vehicle fees and possibly camping or accommodation fees - if spending the night inside the park.
